The MJcollector.com grading scale

Centering: 50/50 all around on front. 60/40 or better on back. Corners: Perfect to the naked eye and Mint under magnification. Edges: Perfect to the naked eye and virtually free of flaws under magnification. Surface: No print spots. Flawless color, with no issues or focus imperfections. Perfect gloss, devoid of scratches and metallic print lines.

Centering: 50/50 one direction and 55/45 in the other direction on front. 60/40 or better on back Corners: Mint to the naked eye, but small imperfections allowed under magnification. Edges: Essentially Mint to the naked eye. A tiny amount of wear is allowed under magnification. Surface: A few extremely minor print spots, found only under magnification. Deep color, without loss of focus imperfections. Perfect gloss, without scratches and print lines.

Centering: 55/45 in bot directions on front. 70/30 or better on back. Corners: Mint with naked eye. A speck of wear is allowed under magnification. Edges: Essentially Mint to the naked eye. Small areas of chipping on the borders are allowed. Surface: A few printing flaws or one minor spot. Very minor focus or color issues. Clean gloss with one or two tiny scratches visibly to the naked eye. One small print line is allowed.

Centering: 60/40 in both directions or better on front. 80/20 or better on back. Corners: Sharp to the naked eye, but small issues allowed to the naked eye. Edges: Essentially smooth borders. Small amounts of chipping visible to the naked eye are allowed. Surface: A few small print spots. Very minor color or focus imperfections. Solid gloss with very small scratches viewable only upon magnification or one print line.

Centering: 65/35 in both directions or better on front. 85/15 or better on back. Corners: Sharp to the naked eye, but small issues allowed to the naked eye. Edges: Essentially smooth borders. Small amounts of chipping visible to the naked eye are allowed. Surface: A few small print spots. Very minor color or focus imperfections. Solid gloss with very small scratches viewable only upon magnification or one print line.

Edges: Slight fuzz small chipping or very small notching is allowed. Surface: A few print spots visible to the naked eye or minor speckling is allowed. Small color or focus issues. Very small border color issues, and a small wax stain on back. Solid gloss with a few small scratches viewable to the naked eye and a few print lines.

Centering: 70/30 in both directions or better on front. 95/5 or better on back. Slight tilt is allowed. Corners: Fuzzy corners, without dings or fraying. Edges: Reasonable roughness, and chipping or small notching is allowed. Surface: Print spots viewable to the naked eye. Small color or focus issues. Small border color issues and color or focus issues. Small wax stains or very small ink marks. Solid gloss essentially intact with small scratches, but without scuffing. Print lines viewable to the naked eye.

Centering: 75/25 in both directions or better on front. 95/5 or better on back. Slight tilt is allowed. Corners: Four fuzzy corners, a small amount of notching or a small ding is allowed. Edges: Roughness viewable to the naked eye, but no layering. Very small notching or chipping viewable to the naked eye is allowed. Surface: Print spots viewable to the naked eye. Small color or focus issues. Small border color issues. Small wax stains or very light ink marks. Some gloss lost from surface with small scratches, but without scuffing.

Centering: 80/20 in both directions or better on front. 100/0 or better on back. Noticeable tilt is allowed. Corners: Small notching or layering, or moderate dings are allowed. Edges: Visible chipping or notching and/or small layering allowed. Surface: Significant print spots allowed. Hairline creases. Modest color or focus issues. Modest  border color issues. Visible wax stains. Very light ink mark or tape stain. A significant decrease in gloss from surface. Very small scuffing or tiny tear on surface and/or edges.

Centering: 85/15 in both directions or better on front. 100/0 or better on back. Noticeable tilt is allowed. Corners: Slightly rounded or notched corners with slight layering is allowed. Edges: Heavy notching, modest layering or heavy chipping is allowed. Surface: Heavy print spots. Very small creases. Visible color or focus issues. Visible border color issues. Noticeable wax stains. Light ink mark and/or tape stain. Significant loss of surface gloss. Small scuffing and/or tears.

Centering: 90/10 in both directions or better on front. 100/0 and/or miscut on back. Significant tilt is allowed. Corners: Visibly rounded or heavily notched corners with modest layering. Edges: extreme chipping, notching or layering. Surface: Severe print spots. Visible creases. Visible color or focus issues. Visible border color issues. Heavy wax stains. Ink marks and/or tape stains. Total loss of surface gloss. Visible scuffing and/or tears.

Centering: 100/0 or miscut on front and/or back. Significant tilt is allowed. Corners: Significantly rounded and/or notched with visible layering. Edges: Severe chipping, notching or layering. Surface: Severe print spots. Major multiple creases. Severe color or focus issues. Severe border color issues. Severe stains. Total loss of surface gloss. Severe scuffing and/or a severe tears.
