The grading process

STEP #1

When we accept your delivery we open the package and scan every card in the submission into our database. We send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your submission, and your 15 day turnaround time starts now!

STEP #2

Each individual card and order are assigned a Certified One-time Label of Authentication  (COLA CODE). This code is randomly generated and promotes confidentiality and impartiality, and is recorded by the grader on a small sheet of paper. This paper is called the "COLA CARD". The COLA CARD is married to the submitted card through the entirety of the grading and encapsulation process.

STEP #3

Every individual card is examined under powerful magnification and in proper lighting. The grader is looking for signs of alteration and determining authenticity and examining the overall condition of the card to finalize the sub-grades.

STEP #4

If the submitted card  is authentic, but shows signs of alteration, the grader records the location of the alteration on the COLA CARD.. The final grade is then determined to be, AA. (Authentic Altered)

STEP #5

If the submitted card  is authentic, and shows no signs of alteration, the submitted card is thoroughly examined and the grader records individual sub-grades for the submitted card. The final grade is determined and each are recorded on the COLA CARD.

STEP #6

The information from the COLA CARD is confirmed and the label for the submitted card is printed.

STEP #7

The corresponding label is then married to the corresponding slab for the submitted card.

STEP #8

The corresponding submitted card is then securely placed into the corresponding slab.

STEP #9
